Accidents and Illness
From time to time children, unfortunately, sustain injuries in the course of their play. Minor injuries are treated in the sick bay and the child usually returns to class. A note will be sent home explaining the injury and the treatment administered.
In the case of a serious accident you will be informed immediately and briefed about our first-aid care and action plan.
If your child falls ill at school we will contact you or your nominated caregiver and ask that you come and collect them.
If your child is going to be absent from school we would ask that you notify the school in your Hero app or phone/text before 8.45am each day to let us know. After the roll has been taken at 9am in class, unexplained absences will be followed up by a phone call. Your co-operation in this matter will ensure the safety of all our children.

During Terms 1 and 4 we require your child to wear a sunhat when out in the sun. Any children without a hat will need to play in the shade at morning break and lunch time. In each classroom there is also sunblock for children to use. School wide-brimmed hats can be purchased from the office. |
Head Lice
Due to parent interest and support, there are regular head lice checks by trained teams of parents. New parents may choose to participate in this programme which has proven most successful in the eradication of these annoying pests.
Consent for your child to have head lice checks is on each child's enrolment form.
Below are some information sheets about what to look out for and how to treat those pesky pets.
